Welcome to Inner Care Wellness
Welcome Dear Friends,
I’m Kandyl Crawford, your Colon Therapist and owner of Inner Care Wellness in Madisonville, LA.
Clients and friends ask me all of the time, “How did you get into THIS business?”
When people find out I am a Colon Therapist, either smirks and jokes come my way, or people become shy and embarrassed at the sheer topic. Either way, everyone wants to know more. In all seriousness, I love what I do! Cleansing and detoxification is incredibly rewarding work. Here’s my story, in brief…
Feeling energized and helping others feel their best has been my life long goal since my earliest memories. At an early age of 15, my fascination with nutrition and exercise led me to my first job at a health club. I went on to college and finished with a degree in Occupational Therapy (OT). OT allowed me to help people with disabilities function better. But, still, I did not understand a few big pictures.
Why are my “young and healthy” friends, including myself, so tired and can’t focus? Why is my active mother, who eats salads, obese? Why do my young nieces and nephews have sensitive skin issues, blood disorders, and odd food sensitivities?
My curiosity took me down many paths trying new techniques to help people, until one day, it hit me! Our food, our water, our air…it is all polluted! The chemicals are everywhere and in such large quantities that we are intoxicated and don’t feel so well. We reach for caffeine, pills… anything to feel better as fast as we can.
If you’ve tried it all, and you still don’t feel great, IT IS TIME TO DETOX. Etch away the buildup. Get the bad out. The old method of colon hydrotherapy is tried and true. It’s what doctors used to help their patients get well before advancements in medicine and surgery.
For nearly 10 years now, I’ve been helping people feel better by giving the body a good bath on the inside. This vital step, getting rid of the toxins, is preliminary to restoring health. Healthy insides result in clear skin, a mind that can focus, energy to spare, and most importantly, an immune system that fights for you. We all know this.
At Inner Care, there is no judgment; you will be supported in your cleansing efforts no matter where you are in your journey. I look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve your cleansing goals. The decision to cleanse is action in the direction of feeling well.
Warmly,
Kandyl

FAQ
COLON HYDROTHERAPY AT INNER CARE
1. Try to drink lots of water (preferably purified and filtered) and apple juice. Water helps you get a head-start on hydrating the build up, and apple juice supports the liver in releasing toxins during your cleanse. Other great cleansing juices are prune, pear, and pineapple.
2. Try to limit or avoid gas-forming foods and beverages. These differ from person to person, but generally include coffee, soft drinks, bananas, cauliflower, broccoli, onions, garlic, and cabbage. The build-up of gas can slow down waste elimination during your cleanse. For a more elaborate list, Google: acid-forming foods.
3. On the day of your cleanse, fasting is recommended, especially if your cleanse is scheduled in the morning. If you are unable to fast, or if your cleanse is scheduled in the afternoon, eat only a “light” meal in the morning and not within 2 hours of your appointment. (Remember: The digestive tract cannot digest and eliminate efficiently at the same time.) The best option for a “light” meal is a smoothie or juice, which is dairy-free and made of whole foods. It’s a good idea to avoid coffee. Also, slow down your water intake just prior to your cleanse as you do not want to have to stop your cleanse to empty your bladder.
The preparatory tips are helpful and advantageous, but not required. Those suffering with an impacted colon or those whom are preparing for a medical procedure, such as a colonoscopy or laparoscopic GYN surgery, should speak with our therapist for special instructions.
Eat more natural foods (unprocessed, unrefined, un-tampered and grown naturally)
Eat lots of whole foods with unrefined carbohydrates
Limit fats to those beneficial oils like those from coconut, fish, flax seed, safflower
Eat slowly, chewing your food well
Avoid overeating
Drink half your weight in ounces of water each day
A good rule of thumb when looking at food packaging: If you can’t pronounce it, or you don’t understand why it’s in there – don’t eat it!
